Twist 'N Write
Twist 'N Write is a mechanical pencil with a unique wishbone shape. The thick barrel is triangular—the index finger goes through the wishbone and the index finger rests on the top side of the pencil, positioning the fingers in the tripod grip. We include illustrated instructions to help you encourage the use of the tripod grip while using the Twist N Write. This approach appeals to many children and certainly is worth a try with older children who are having a hard time making the change, and with children who need to relax their wrist or hand.
To advance the lead, twist the tip of the pencil. The 2 mm thick #2 lead is 2-1/2 inches long and is not replaceable, so consider getting several for one child. Erasers are included on the outside edges of the wishbone.
