StartWrite Handwriting Software helps teachers and parents create custom handwriting practice sheets. Unlike other handwriting fonts or programs, StartWrite's cursive or linked letters join automatically. Simply type your word or sentence, hit the return key for blank lines, and print!

StartWrite is easy to use!

The program begins as a blank document with a tool bar running horizontally across the top. (Refer to the image below.)

The T (Text) button in the tool bar creates a text block (or many text boxes, as in this example). The text block may be moved anywhere on the document.

The Apple (Art) button in the tool bar imports clip art (a file of nice images is provided) or images from your own files (.jpg and .gif).

Type a word or letter, then . . .

Choose a style
Choose from a variety of manuscript and cursive handwriting styles, images of coins, clocks, and counting sets. (Spanish and math fonts are available in Windows, v 5. They are not available in Mac v.5.)

Adjust Letter Size
Print the tiny letters to poster-size letters (9 to 192 pt).

Light Gray or Black?
Easily adjust the contrast, from light gray to black.

Guidelines
Add or delete each guideline. Adjust the lines even more through the preferences panel, and change the color and style of each line.

Dashed or Solid?
Good for tracing letters and numbers.

Red Starting Point
