Pencil Grips
Grips are training tools that help position the fingers correctly on the pencil. With a little guidance from you, a child can improve the way they hold their pencil. (We include instructions and tips with each order.)

There are a variety of styles of grippers — we like to use the ones shown below. Designed for the right or left hand, The Pencil Grip and The Crossover Grip are soft and flexible so that the pencil hole can stretch to accommodate varying widths of pens, pencils, crayons or tools. We like to use them with a soft-lead pencil.
The Pencil Grip
Prior to the creation of The Pencil Grip, therapists commonly gave children a pencil with a small gripper and a wadded paper towel taped above the gripper to give support to the index finger and open up the hand a bit. The Pencil Grip was designed by an educational therapist. Metallic (glossy) colors, neon colors and glitter colors.

The Crossover Grip
The Crossover Grip helps the child who wraps their thumb over the pencil. This gripper is the same as The Pencil Grip, with an additional shield over the thumb and index finger. Metallic and neon colors.

The Jumbo Grip
The Jumbo Grip is available for children who need support up to the second knuckle on the index finger. The Jumbo Grip is also used by adults needing ergonomic support and cushioning for arthritic or fatigued hands.
